KUBO 久保 (any/all) is an interdisciplinary artist who uses sound, annotation, video, form, and installation to explore various landscapes of placelessness. KUBO aims to traverse the feeling of disconnect to home by exploiting the relationship between time and memory. KUBO has exhibited their work at The Anderson Gallery (Richmond, VA), Candela Gallery (Richmond, VA), Grace Street Theatre (Richmond, VA), Sechrest Gallery of Art (High Point, North Carolina), Detroit Artists Market (Detroit, MI), Public Pool Gallery (Detroit, MI), Ann Arbor Film Festival (Ann Arbor, MI), Anton Art Center (Anton, Michigan) Oakland University Art Gallery (Rochester, Michigan) Wing Luke Museum (Seattle, WA), Nolan Park, Governors Island (New York City, NY) and at Shiro Oni Studio (Fujioka, Japan).
KUBO received a Bachelors in Studio Art (New Media) from Oakland University in 2018 and a Masters of Fine Arts (Kinetic Imaging) from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2022. KUBO currently lives and works in Japan.
